What does neuro-affirming speech therapy mean?
Neuro-affirming (or neurodiversity-affirming) speech therapy recognises autism, ADHD and other neurodevelopmental differences as natural variations in how people think, communicate and experience the world, not something that needs fixing. Rather than encouraging children to mask who they are or copy neurotypical communication styles, we focus on helping them communicate effectively in ways that feel authentic and comfortable to them.
