Frequently Asked Questions

- 01While some children do catch up on their own, it is impossible to know which children will be "late bloomers" and which have a true delay. The "wait and see" approach means missing out on the critical time when your child's brain is most adaptable. Getting help now ensures your child has the support they need to avoid future frustration.
- 02Not at all. Our sessions for your infant and toddler are entirely play-based and designed to be fun and engaging. We follow your child's lead, ensuring they feel safe, happy and relaxed. To them, it will just feel like a dedicated playtime with a new friend.
- 03You are your child's best teacher! During our sessions, we will coach you on simple, everyday strategies. You can help by incorporating these techniques into daily routines like bath time, reading before bed, or chatting while unpacking groceries.
- 04We never expect toddlers to sit still or "perform" for us. If your child is highly energetic, shy, or having an off day, we simply adapt. We take the therapy to wherever they are comfortable, even if that means playing on the floor or out in the garden.
- 05It is rarely too early. We work with babies from just a few months old to encourage foundational skills like babbling, eye contact and turn-taking. Early intervention takes advantage of your baby's rapid brain development for the best possible outcomes.

This includes helping children with speech clarity, language development, social communication skills, stuttering, literacy challenges, voice quality, and safe swallowing. A speech pathologist works with families to create personalised plans to support a child’s communication growth. The Speech Spot
